Visitor Information

The Museum of Yachting is located at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island.

The Museum will reopen for the Summer 2010 season Saturday, May 29th.

Hours during the Summer 2010 Season: 
Open daily from 10am – 5:30pm, through October 1st.  The Museum is closed on Tuesdays.

Admission: 
$5 general admission. Free to members of the Museum of Yachting and IYRS.  Free for children under 18 and students (with valid student ID).  Group rates and tours available.  Tour buses welcome.

By Car: 
South on Bellevue Avenue or Thames Street.  Follow signs to Fort Adams State Park.  Ample free parking.

By Water Taxi: 
Oldport Launch Service from America’s Cup Avenue, Sayer’s Wharf and IYRS.  Or call VHF Channel 68.

By Bus: 
From the Newport Visitor’s Center on America’s Cup Avenue.
